Upper Klamath Lake is plased in
the Cascade Mountains, near the peak of a mountain Shasta (4317 m) -
states Oregon (USA). A freshwater lake has surface of 220 km². Around the lake there is volcanic mountains placed on surface of
6000 km².
Seventeen natural clean mountain rivers and streams empty itselves
into the Lake. During its way to the Lake they pick and carry rich
deposits of minerals.
The
lake is filled by many geothermal springs, that rise from the
hundreds meters under the ground. In the world this lake is one of
the richest lakes with mineral sediment on its bottom - around 10
m.
These
entire features make the Klamath Lake to be a unique ecosystem. The
lake position in that area enable cosmic and sun energy to be
received directly, so algae can make normal process of photosyntesis.
Clean mountain air enriched by high percentage of oxygen,
temperature, transparency of water, set aside this lake among the
rest of lakes.
By
all of this we can make conclusion that Klamath Lake is so good
rewarded by the nature.
But
humans, using algae from this lake don't break natural balance, but
it has positive ecological effect because enable a survival and
development of the whole living organisms in the lake.
